Description

Everyone knows that there’s no place like home. But home means someplace different for every person. It’s the place that builds us and breaks us. The place where we find ourselves. It’s the place that some people run away from and others spend their lives searching for.

In Belongings, we explore concepts of home, belonging, collective memory, loss, and displacement. Discussions revolve around questions like: How do we find belonging? What is home to us now? What makes a community? How to rebuild the sense of home after displacement? Is home where we are from or where we are going to or something in between? Each episode includes an intimate conversation with a special guest as well as a lived experience account from a Syrian refugee.

We will be mapping home together. And, hopefully, by stitching our collective stories, we will feel less alone.

Where do you belong?
